Tuesday, August 30th at 7PM at the Civitan building.
There will be an end of the year party at the Haunted House on Thursday June 2nd from 6PM-9PM. There will be food and drinks provided. We will be watching video’s and maybe a bonfire too. Please RSVP to Mark Fischer fischmark@aol.com by Wednesday June 1st. If you would like to bring some snacks or dessert let us know that too.

Special Olympics needs help for Track and Field on May 14 at Central High School. They are short of volunteers, so ask anyone you know, and have them spread the word to help. Registration is at 8:15am and the events start about 9am.
We are also having a bake sale again at the Newburgh Schnucks from 8am to 5pm. Last time we sold out by 4pm. Junior members and friends can bake something and just drop it off or help sell at any time.
Meet at the Apple Center in Newburgh Jan 9 at 12pm afternoon. Bring permission slip below if you haven’t turned on in already.
Reservations must be turned in by Jan 4th at the club meeting.

Winter State Special Olympics at Perfect North Ski Slopes
Lawrenceburg, IN on Jan 9th and 10th, 2011
We will be going up on Sunday, Jan 9th to Higher Grounds – Christian Retreat Conference Center. We will hold a brief Junior Civitan update meeting that late afternoon. On Monday, we will work at the ski slopes with the athletes for training and practice.
Cost for Sunday to Monday is $60.00 per person. This includes staying 1 night, Sunday night dinner, Monday breakfast and lunch. We will leave at about 6pm and stop on the way home Monday evening for a fast food dinner that you will need money for.
Cost to ski is $15.00 per person and includes – lift ticket, skiing and/or tubing. So you can ski for awhile and then go tubing also. You will need to bring the $15.00 with you and pay at the time of skiing.
A message for our adult and junior Civitan members:
Just a reminder that the Haunted House wrap up party is Nov. 23rd at 7PM at Pizza Chef. Come out and get you some.
There are a few other things coming up.
On Nov. 30th we will be wrapping gifts at Children Services in Evansville. We are meeting at the Haunted House at 3:15PM and leaving at 3:45 to car pool to Children Services. You can always meet us there . We will be wrapping until 8PM. then come back to the Civitan building. Dinner will be provided.
Last of all, the Juniors are working Fantasy of Lights on Dec. 3rd.

Here’s some of the main points from tonight’s meeting.
The Holiday World trip (Instead of King’s Island) will be on Tuesday, August 5th.
*If you want to go you MUST attend the meeting on July 29th*
If you can’t go to the meeting let us know and we’ll work something out.
Officer training will be at Salem Church at 1:30 on Sunday July 27th.

We’re working on the house this weekend on Saturday starting 9-10:00ish AM.
And finally we have the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $3000 to fix/help/improve things in our community.
Possible ideas include cleaning/fixing up the Fortress of Fun

This past week Kayla, Katelyne, Dylan, and Daniel have been in Hillsdale, Michigan at Hillsdale College for the 2008 Youth Leadership and Diversity Conference.
It was one of the funnest weeks ever, and it’s been a truly life changing experience that has made everyone a better leader.
We’ve all made best friends and it’s sad to not see them anymore, but the impact these people have made on our lives will be there forever.
